Hello, I'm Vanessa Plácido!

Cake designer in the U.S., where I've lived since 2015. I'm married to Carlos Plácido and am the mother of two beautiful and happy princesses.

I usually say that I make more than cakes, I make dreams come true! I am a part of people's life stories and to do that I am very committed to my work and do it with lots of love!!!

A little on my story, which involved a lot of dedication and at various times a lot of prayers to God to sustain and help me. I created this blog and my YouTube channel with the purpose of sharing my experience and knowledge to help others improve their techniques, work and skillset. And of course to improve their income and being able to live exclusively from the CONFEITARIA.

I am living proof that with persistence, dedication, love and a lot of faith in God you are capable of doing anything, because in Brazil I hardly knew how to fry an egg lol anyone who knows me can confirm this!! But in America everything changed for me. Not being able to practice law in this country and continue my work as a lawyer, I was forced to look for new pathways. A little while before leaving Brazil I took my first course on homemade cakes and from there the passion for confectionery emerged. I studied, took many free courses, watched endless videos on YouTube and took some paid courses too! I was training myself, improving the techniques learned by creating my own adaptations and today I can proudly say that I have a lot of knowledge and experience.
